Bluetape At The REALTORS® Trade Expo 2025

The REALTORS® Legislative Meetings & Trade Expo in Washington, D.C. is more than a convention—it’s a pulse check on the real estate industry. And this year, Bluetape made its mark.
Representing us was our DC Metro region leaders, Lori Mankin (Market Sales Manager) and Ray Williams (Field Manager). We welcomed hundreds of agents and industry pros to Booth #327 over the course of the two-day Trade Expo. For many attendees, this was their first introduction to Bluetape—and the reaction was overwhelmingly clear: “We need this.”
Bluetape Makes A Difference
One agent from the DMV area stopped by our booth and shared with us how she had two properties under contract and another listing about to go live—but couldn’t find anyone to handle the long list of small repairs each home needed.
"I just don’t have contractors," she said, shaking her head. "I have all these listings but there’s no one reliable I can call who’ll actually show up and do the work."
When we told her we provide a one-stop solution for home repairs—with in-house teams, licensed and insured professionals—she lit up.
"Agents have a need for this," Ray said. "One couple—the wife is an agent and the husband is an inspector—wanted to know how soon we could be in Florida. They were extremely frustrated with the time it takes to find contractors and how it impacts closing dates."
Why We Stood Out
Throughout the event, we heard story after story about the difficulties of finding reliable, fast, professional help for critical inspection repairs so sales don't derail.
Bluetape’s message cut through the noise:
-
We’re a modern, tech-forward alternative to traditional contractors.
-
We specialize in pre-listing and inspection repairs.
-
We control the entire process—from quote to close—through our in-house teams.
-
We offer payment at closing, eliminating upfront costs for sellers.
"People were shocked we could handle everything in-house," Lori said. "They loved that we own the process—pricing, scheduling, quality control—it’s all us."
Vendors Helping Vendors
The expo wasn’t just about agents. We also connected with other vendors offering services to support agents in unique ways.
One standout was a company that helps agents with elderly clients who are overwhelmed by the moving process—handling everything from trash outs to putting belongings in storage to light renovations.
"We thought it was a great, great service," Lori shared. "There are so many people dealing with emotional, complicated transitions."
Ray said, "There were a few booths that really impressed me. Rainplan, My Yenta, Agent Alert Pro, and Perfect Closing Gifts."
$750 in Repairs? The Big Winner
Of course, no trade show is complete without a little fun. To make things memorable, we ran a contest: realtors could tape their business cards to our giant sign for a chance to win $750 in free repairs.
Congratulations to Sherina Garner of Keller Williams, who took home the prize!
A Clear Takeaway: This Is a National Need
"By the time we left," Lori said, "Ray and I looked at each other and said, ‘They need Bluetape in every state.’”
The expo validated what we have believed all along: agents everywhere are looking for a modern solution to repair management—something that saves time, reduces stress, and helps deals close faster.
And based on the response in D.C., Bluetape is well on its way to becoming that solution.
